    Saturday 24 August 2019

A high-energy show will wrap up the CMA 2019 in Shediac, New Brunswick. The artistic vision for the show will explore Acadie’s popular, country, and traditional roots.

“It’s going to be one big party of an evening,” explained George Belliveau, artistic director of the closing event. “We want to look back on what’s happened during the past 25 years of music, namely, since the very first Congrès mondial acadien in 1994. The night will have people singing, dancing, laughing and crying.”

The stage will host a number of artistic collaborations that look back at some memorable moments from the past and pay tribute to the artists who have left us. Many artists have already confirmed their participation, including Salebarbes, Laurie LeBlanc, Hert LeBlanc, Dominique Dupuis, Suroit, and Troiselle. The show will get everyone dancing: a perfect ending to the 25th anniversary of the Congrès mondial acadien and a perfect start to next one!
