Public Notice of Meeting of the Municipal Council

The Shediac Municipal Council will hold a public hearing, a special meeting and a closed meeting (in-camera) on Monday, October 7, 2024, starting at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at Town Hall. The public is cordially invited to attend the public hearing and the special meeting, which will begin as soon as the public hearing is over.
Public hearing - 6 pm
Amendment to repeal by-law Z-14-44-49Z and to change the zoning of properties bearing identification numbers 70136841, 70624564, 00973784, 70705157 and 70139274 in the Town of Shediac from the General Commercial (GC) zone to the Integrated Development (ID) zone in order to accommodate a group home and its related uses.

Closed meeting (in-camera)
Please note that pursuant to Section 68(1) of the Local Governance Act, Shediac Town Council will hold a closed meeting (in-camera) session on October 7, 2024, right after the public hearing and the Special meeting.
The matters to be discussed pertain to Section 68(1):
- one (1) file related to item (d) the proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land
- two (2) files related to item (f) information concerning legal opinions or advice provided to the local government by its solicitor or privileged communications between solicitor and client in a matter of local government business
As permitted by the Act, this session IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
